The challenge is to redecorate a number of rooms in a house in 60 minutes.
The cost of the makeover is stated at the end of each show. However, this amount excludes the labour fees.

The series was parodied on Harry Hill's TV Burp as 46 Minute Makeover as the length of the programme is 46 minutes with the commercial breaks removed.
